Transportation

Transportation in Germany is very different that here in the U.S..  One of the biggest differences is that many people don't own cars due to how expensive it is to own one.  Also everything most Germans need are within walking distance therefore they either take the bus, ride a bike, or walk.  Another big difference is that in Germany they have the AutoBahn.  This is the equivalent to a highway here in the U.S. but with no speed limits.  You can go as fast as you want as long as you don't get in the way.  There are also less crashes because people are more careful at these greater speeds.

Transportation in the U.S. is to us very normal.  Speed limits and cars are a common thing.  Every road and highway has a speed limit.  Most families have at least one car.  Same have as many as three or four.  Also unlike in Germany most of us drive everywhere.  Whether its just around the corner or just up the street most Americans will drive there.  I know that sometimes I find myself doing that too.  It wastes gas and doesn't allow me to get exercise.  Driving is a big part in everyday life here in America where as in Germany it is not.
